A recent standard issued by U.S. Dep. of Justice (NIJ-STD-0601.02) establishes new requirements of Sensitivity, Discrimination and Immunity for Metal Detector to be used in Law Enforcement and Correctional Facilities. The three levels of Security specified by the standard (Large, Medium and Small object size) define different possible treatments for visitors or inmates. CEIA provides metal detectors specifically designed to comply with the different security levels of the standard as well with other international standard for Walk Through Metal Detectors to be used in prisons.
