2005

CEIA introduces the THS/PH21-FFV Pharmaceutical Metal Detection System for Granular and Powder products, which satisfy the standards of Security, Integrity and Traceability of production data as required by the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) - Electronic Records; Electronic Signatures (ER/ES).

2004

The company presents the CEIA SMD601 Multi-Zone Walk-Through Metal Detector, specifically designed to comply with the new NIJ Standard-0601.02 (U.S. Dep. of Justice). The Standard establishes new requirements of Sensitivity, Discrimination and Immunity for Law Enforcement and Correctional Facilities.

2003

The company presents the THS/PH21TM Metal Detector, designed to comply fully with FDA regulations regarding criteria of construction and of electronic management of records and signatures

CEIA is selected to be the major supplier of Enhanced Metal Detectors for the majority of Airports in North America.

2002

CEIA is selected by the United Nations as the Ground Search Metal Detectors supplier for the Demining Program in Afghanistan.

2001

CEIA introduces the THS/FB, for checking food products, integrated system which complies with the most stringent requirements of functionality, hygiene, compact size and reliability.

1998

In November, CEIA LACE laboratory is recognised as a Competent Body in the Matter of Electromagnetic Compatibility by the Minister for Communications, a recognition that it still holds today.

CEIA develops technology for the Ground Search Metal Detectors sectors at the request of several International Agencies.

The CEIA Quality System is awarded ISO 9001 Certification.

CEIA patents the Elliptical Column Walk Through Metal Detector. This efficient, aesthetically-pleasing device can easily and unobtrusively be used in high-level Government Agencies and private corporations. The Elliptic Detector is later selected for security control operations in the Jubilee 2000 celebration.

CEIA commences production of the new THS series of Industrial Metal Detectors, characterised by state-of-the-art performance and standard all-stainless-steel construction.

CEIA patents an innovative gate control that provides combined metal detection and access control for the identification of persons passing through the point of access.

CEIA begins development and production of solid-state induction generators for no-contact heat treatment of metals.

1986

CEIA patents the magnetic scanning Walk Through Metal Detector, basis for the first gate in the world with indication of the weapon's transit position on a display bar.

1982

CEIA patents the first Walk Through Metal Detector using a column type antenna and helicoidal windings.

1975

The growing demand for security at entrances to airports and banks stimulated CEIA to start a major research/development program. This leads CEIA to become a major producer of walk-through and portable Metal Detectors for the detection of weapons carried on a person.

1968

Foundation of CEIA, manufacturer of Industrial Metal Detectors and Ultrasonic Cleaning Machines for the gold and silversmith sector.

1962

The Founder of the Company patents a microsensitive Solid-State Metal Detector, which uses the first semi-conductor devices available on the market; used in the textile sector, it detects metal fragments which can accidentally find their way into the textiles being processed, thereby also avoiding damage to the manufacturing machinery and the halting of production.
